My dear friend Sara, a life-long nonsmoker, lost her battle with lung cancer several years ago. Lung cancer kills twice as many women each year as breast cancer. It kills more people than breast, colon and prostate cancers COMBINED.

A group of dedicated survivors, advocates and healthcare professionals have organized the first state chapter of the National Lung Cancer Partnership, called the North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership, to increase awareness and funding of lung cancer.
