Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer in this country, yet the least funded of all cancers. It kills nearly twice as many women each year as breast cancer. Our spokesperson this year is a 23-year-year old college student and lifelong nonsmoker.
My dear friend, Sara Saunders, also a lifelong nonsmoker, succumbed to lung cancer in 2007. Please be aware of your lung cancer risk.
